Finally we our heading to Raleigh!
After a missed connection and not being able to get seats on the next flight, all eleven of us are on the 11:00 p.m. flight Praise God!

Arriving Home Delayed
Well we missed our connecting flight out of Atlanta to Raleigh, due to a delayed gate connection from Honduras. We are now on standby for the 8:30 p.m. flight but it's not looking good, hopefully the 11:00 p.m. will have available seats. Please pray we can make it home tonight!
Breakfast and Souvenir Shopping
We had breakfast on the sidewalk, outside of Juan's wife , Hilda's Mother's cafe. Then we went souvenir shopping to take back some remembrance of Honduras. Now we are off to one last souvenir shop before heading to the San Pedro Sula airport.
We pray for safe travels back to our families.

El Progesso Baptist Church
Juan's church invited us for a special worship service. It was special
because they held the service because we came to visit! We had a great time singing and fellowshiping with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Even though we are from two different countries we are all part of God's family.

Heading Home
Well we are saying our final goodbyes to the pastor and his family before departing the Gran Sanabria Hotel and heading home. It's sad time but we are anxious to be heading home to our families.
Were in El Progresso
Well we've arrived in El Progresso after a five hour drive across Honduras. El Progresso is Juan's home town and where we will spend the night before returning to the United States.
We just set down to have a late lunch at Pizza Hut! After we finish eating we do some souvenir shopping and then check into the Victoria Hotel.

Saying Goodbye
We said our goodbyes tonight and there was allot of tears shed by the team as well as the Salem Baptist Community. It's always difficult saying goodbye to our brothers and sisters in Christ. We love them and will continue to pray for God's blessings.
Wednesday's Update
Well this is our last day with the Salem Baptist community. My how fast the time has gone by! This has been a good trip as it relates to the actives that were accomplished. It has been a wonderful time to strengthen existing relationships and making new ones. But most of all it has been a blessing sharing God's love with our brothers and sisters. We leave with sad hearts knowing we will miss them but we take comfort in knowing God will take care of His children who have faith and trust in Him.
VBS Update
The children returned today to learn more about Jesus and another opportunity to participate in a craft project. See pictures below of a couple kids and how proud they are of their finished craft.
Hospital Ministry Update
Several folks went back this morning to the hospital to hand out baby clothes and deliver medicine we purchased for a little child whose hands were burned from a shorted electrical wire. The mother was very grateful for helping her baby. The new mothers were very appreciative of the new baby clothes they received.
Sewing Ministry Update
Donna and the ladies continued their sewing projects and hopefully the ladies will be able finish fairly soon.
School Construction Update
The remaining forms were poured with cement today along with a half column. Even though we unable to finish the team made allot of progress and the local Salem Baptist workers should be able to finish the project on time do the first classes can be held in February 2013.

The children returned today to learn more about Jesus and another opportunity to participate in a craft project. See pictures below of a couple kids and how proud they are of their finished craft.

Tuesday Update
School Construction Update
The remaining forms were filled with cement and tomorrow the beams, metal roofing and rebar will be installed and covered with another layer of cement, which will complete the construction of the flooring for the second floor.
VBS
Another good day with the children telling bible stories. Each child received a craft kit to make a necklace with beads and a wooden cross.
Sewing ministry
The ladies continued their sewing activities of making skirts, shorts, tops and pillow cases.
Feeding Station
Some of the team helped in the preparation and serving of the meal to around 60 children. Their meal consisted of tortillas, rice, chicken, potatoes and carrots.
Courageous Movie
Tonight we showed the Courageous movie, which was a big hit with the community. It was the quietest I've seen them for that long of a period of time! Please pray that the fathers understood the message and it will have an impact on their lives and their families.
Please be in prayer for the team as we continue doing God's work in Tocoa Honduras. Praise God for His wonderful love and grace.

Monday's Update
There was allot of activity in the church today. First day of VBS, feeding station, sewing ministry and the workers had to move the building of forms inside the church. So needless say it was quite hectic, but in a good way.
School Update
All of the forms were finished today and the beams were welded and painted. They started installing the wood around the forms in preparation for pouring the cement. Also, the gravel and sand was delivered to mix the cement. Tomorrow we will be making "allot" of tornados! That's what they call the process of mixing the cement.
VBS Update
Angela and Missy led the VBS activities. There were 52 kids that attended VBS and participated in hearing bible stories read in Spanish by Josh Harden and Mary Clarke. They both did a great job! Each of the kids made mobiles containing bible verses that they could take home.

Donna worked with the ladies today in cutting out fabric to make dresses.

Hospital Ministry Newborns
Missy, Joni, Claudia and Josh Holt went back to the hospital to give out newborn clothing. Also, the team purchased medicine for a young girl who had burns from boiling water spilt on her. While they were at the hospital a baby was born and another small child has severe burns, the team is planning on buying medicine for this child as well.
Tropical Storm Ernesto
We were initialing concerned about the path of the tropical storm Ernesto, which is in the Caribbean sea. However, based upon the projected path and intensity of the storm we do not feel we are in any danger. The projected land fall is tomorrow night, which will mean we will be in our hotel rooms and out of harms way.

Church service at Salem Baptist Church
Tonight we worshipped with our Honduran brothers and sisters at Salem Baptist. Some of us had an opportunity to talk with the congregation and what the relationships we have established meant to us. Mary Clarke Worthington and Josh Harden gave their talk in Spanish, which was very well received by the Salem Baptist congregation. The pastor preached from Luke 22:17-18 which talks about taking communion and that Jesus is the only way to eternal salvation. It is always a joy to hear the Pastor preach and his words are inspiring. He is definitely a blessing from God for this community.

Sunday a day of rest at Trujillo Bay
Coming to Trujillo Bay on Sunday has become a tradition that we look forward to each trip. Trujillo is located on the Northeast coast of Honduras on the Caribbean. It's a time to enjoy christian fellowship, the beautiful beaches and get recharged for continuing our work. This year we were joined by the Pastor, his wife, oldest daughter, niece and son.

Sewing Minstry
Donna and Angela began working with the ladies and children from Salem Baptist today. The children and the ladies were excited to see Donna and Angela!
Missy's Birthday
During dinner Missy got a nice suprise when Juan had a birthday cake made for her! It's always blessing after a hard day working to enjoy a nice dinner with Christian brothers and sisters!
The work begins!
One of the objectives for this mission trip is to assist in building a second floor on the new church school we are helping to support.
